Schedule.Contact…Fiction and Poetry going full tilt

So far, it looks as if I’ll have just enough time over the summer to finish ushering Those Bones at Goliad through production before a busy fall begins:

[Thoroughly enjoyed being a feature reader at the September, Poetry in the Afternoon at Round Rock Library. Also featured was young, dynamo poet Carie Juettner!]

November 13, that’s a Friday night at 7:oo p.m. at Malvern Books in Austin, I’ll be sharing the stage time to launch Those Bones at Goliad. Because that book store spot is a quintessential University of Texas location, I’ll start with a couple nostalgic poems from Accidental Joy and then shift to an excerpt from my newly released historical novel–where action is set frequently in post-1836-revolution Austin. Join us if you remember the corner of 29th and Rio Grande off the drag in 1968-9–or if you simply love hearing poetry and good prose read aloud! [Pamela Laskin, It’s All about Shoes/Ute Carson with her latest also read.]

November 14, Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 5:00 at the Round Rock Library on Main.  The Literary and Book Fair at the Round Rock Library will have tables featuring local authors and publishers. I will be representing Plain View Press at their table. Ask me a question about Goliad, about the Texas Revolution, about the Battle at Refugio so rarely acknowledged.  I’ll be there to discuss, sell, and sign my books. Other PVP books will be available as well.
